We are very excited to announce our participation in a new initiative to accelerate Industry 4.0! On Tuesday we were at the University of Bologna to participate in the establishment of BI-REX (Big Data Innovation & Research Excellence) competence center. This is one of the projects of excellence funded by MISE [the Italian Ministry of Development] within the context of the extensive call for tenders last spring. Filippetti SpA is a founding partner.

Mechatronics, Automotive, Biomedical and Agrifood are some of the sectors on which the project will focus, with public bodies, universities and companies in the Emilia-Romagna region, united in a public-private partnership with great potential.
BI-REX will be a highly specialized center at the service of businesses throughout Italy that will provide support in the adoption of enabling technologies: Internet of Things, Big Data, CyberSecurity, Additive Manufacturing and Robotics,  as well as training on Industry 4.0 and assistance for the start-up of innovation projects, industrial research and experimental development.

Filippetti SpA is a technology provider and an end user, a dual role that will allow it to contribute to determining the objectives of innovation projects and provide skills and technologies. Thanks to the support of Net4Partners, which handled the bid and participation, our Group will therefore place its expertise and technological innovations at the service of future industries 4.0.
The Bi-Rex consortium will be based in Bologna and is slated to be operative at least until 2028.
